The house was built in order to look like a typical village house. For many years it has been turned into a cottage until reaching its present appearance. It was named after his first owner, Mr. Josep Picas Mas, who was a great baker and chocolate maker.

     Cal Xocolater has been running for 22 years. 10 of those years it was rent and in 2005 went back to its founder Eulalia García García.

      In 2008, it was renovated to offer its customers everything they needed to feel at home: quiet, relaxed, comfortable. It creates an environment of privacy, making it perfect for a family get-together or a group of friends.

      Since 1 August 2010, the manager, its current owner Zaklina Wioleta Marcinkowska (Zaki) has been keeping the business among family ties with the same pace, affection and care than the old owners.
